1. Product Features

Aluminum-titanium-boron alloy master alloy (product code A15Ti1B), with typical composition of 5% Ti, 1% B, and the balance being aluminum, is currently the most commonly used grain refiner, featuring high refinement efficiency and good anti-degradation performance.

II. Applicable Scenarios

It is suitable for grain refinement of various wrought and cast aluminum alloys, especially for aluminum bars, plates, foils, aerospace aluminum materials, etc., which have strict requirements on grain size.

III. Dosage

The recommended addition amount is 0.1% to 0.3% of the aluminum liquid mass. Adding 0.2% regularly can achieve good refinement effect.

IV. Usage

1. The temperature of the aluminum liquid is 720℃～750℃.

2. After slagging, put the aluminum-titanium-boron alloy block into the melt and stir thoroughly.

3. Dissolution time: 5-10 minutes.

4. Let it stand for 5-10 minutes, then remove the slag and proceed with casting as soon as possible (the refinement effect can last for about 1 hour).

V. Precautions

Avoid excessive addition, which may cause grain coarsening; store in a dry place to prevent moisture.
