Aluminum boron alloy
1. Product Features
Aluminum-boron master alloy (product code AlB) typically contains 3% to 5% boron. Boron can form boride precipitates with impurity elements in aluminum (such as vanadium, zirconium, and chromium), thereby enhancing conductivity. Additionally, boron exhibits grain refinement effects.
II. Applicable Scenarios
It is suitable for the production of high conductivity electrical aluminum, busbar aluminum, cable aluminum, as well as aluminum alloys that require the removal of impurity elements.
III. Dosage
The recommended addition amount is 0.1% to 0.5% of the mass of the aluminum liquid. The specific amount should be determined based on the impurity content and conductivity requirements.
IV. Usage
1. The temperature of the aluminum liquid is 720℃~760℃.
2. After removing the slag, put the aluminum-boron alloy block into the melt and stir to dissolve it.
3. Dissolution time: 10-15 minutes.
4. Let it stand for 10 minutes, then remove the slag and take samples for conductivity or impurity content testing.
V. Precautions
The boron content should not be too high, otherwise it will reduce conductivity; store in a moisture-proof place.

Store in a ventilated and dry place, and strictly prevent moisture.
