1. Product characteristics

Aluminum-copper alloy master alloy, with a copper content of 50% (product code AlCu50). The copper element exists in the form of aluminum-copper compounds, which dissolve quickly and have a high absorption rate, making it suitable for precisely increasing the copper content in aluminum alloys.

II. Applicable Scenarios

It is suitable for alloys such as 2XXX series (aluminum-copper series) and cast aluminum alloys (such as A380, A319) that require the addition of copper. Copper can enhance strength, hardness, and machinability.

III. Dosage

Additive dosage (kg) = weight of aluminum liquid (kg) × (target copper% - original copper%) ÷ 50%. Typical addition amount is 0.5% to 5% of the aluminum liquid mass.

IV. Usage

1. The temperature of the aluminum liquid is between 720℃ and 750℃.

2. After removing the slag, put the aluminum-copper alloy block into the melt and stir until it dissolves.

3. Dissolution time: 5-10 minutes.

4. Allow it to stand and remove the slag before sampling for analysis.

V. Precautions

Excessive copper content can reduce corrosion resistance, so it should be added as needed; store in a dry place.
