1. Product Features

75Cr chromium additive is a flux-type or aluminum-type block product, containing approximately 75% chromium. It dissolves rapidly in aluminum melt and is used to precisely adjust the chromium content in aluminum alloys. It has a high absorption rate and dissolves completely.

II. Applicable Scenarios

It is applicable to 5XXX series (aluminum-magnesium series), 6XXX series, and other aluminum alloys that require the addition of chromium. Chromium can refine grain size and improve corrosion resistance.

III. Dosage

Additive dosage (kg) = Weight of aluminum liquid (kg) × (Target chromium % - Original chromium %) ÷ 75%. The conventional addition amount is 0.1% to 0.5% of the aluminum liquid mass. The calculation should consider the actual absorption rate, which is generally between 90-98%, and is subject to factors such as aluminum liquid temperature, absorption time, and stirring intensity.

IV. Usage

The temperature of the aluminum liquid is 720℃～750℃. After skimming, the chromium additive is pressed into the bottom of the aluminum liquid using a bell jar and slowly moved around.

Dissolution time: 15-30 minutes. After thorough stirring, let it stand. After removing the sediment, take a sample for analysis.

V. Precautions

After adding chromium, it is necessary to stir thoroughly to ensure uniformity; store in a moisture-proof environment.
