1. Product characteristics

75Mn manganese additive is a flux-type or aluminum-type block product with a manganese content of approximately 75%. It rapidly dissolves in aluminum melt, enabling precise addition of manganese element for adjusting the manganese content in aluminum alloys. The product has fast dissolution rate, high absorption rate, and no residue.

II. Applicable Scenarios

It is suitable for melting 3XXX series (aluminum-manganese series), 5XXX series, and other aluminum alloys that require the addition of manganese, such as rust-proof aluminum and aluminum materials for packaging.

III. Dosage

The amount of additive is calculated based on the target manganese content and the total amount of aluminum liquid in the furnace. The calculation formula is: additive dosage (kg) = aluminum liquid weight (kg) × (target manganese % - original manganese %) ÷ additive manganese content (75%). The recommended amount of additive is generally 0.1% to 1.0% of the aluminum liquid mass. The calculation should take into account the actual absorption rate, which is generally between 90-98%, and is influenced by factors such as aluminum liquid temperature, absorption time, and stirring intensity.

IV. Usage

The temperature of the aluminum liquid is controlled at 720℃～750℃. The surface scum is removed completely, and the manganese additive is pressed into the bottom of the aluminum liquid using a bell jar or directly added and gently stirred. It is kept dissolved for 15 to 30 minutes, during which time it can be stirred appropriately to promote dissolution. After standing for 5 minutes, the scum is removed, and samples are taken for analysis to confirm the manganese content. If the content is insufficient, additional manganese can be added.

V. Precautions

Avoid prolonged placement under high temperatures to prevent burn damage; store in a dry place and strictly guard against moisture.
