Chlorine free refining agent (AJ5-1)
This product is a chlorine free and environmentally friendly aluminum alloy refining agent independently developed by Suzhou Futuo New Material Technology Co., Ltd. The product does not add chlorine elements and does not produce harmful products such as chlorine gas and chlorides during the refining process, which meets the requirements of green production.
This product is specifically designed to remove hydrogen gas (H ₂), oxides (such as Al ₂ O3), and non-metallic inclusions from the melting process of aluminum and aluminum alloys. It can effectively improve the purity and flowability of aluminum liquid and enhance the mechanical properties of materials.
2、 Performance characteristics
Chlorine free environmental protection: The product does not add chlorine element, and does not produce harmful gases such as chlorine gas during the refining process, which has no adverse effects on human body, equipment, and the environment.
Ingredient stability: The ingredients are uniform, the effect is stable, and it can remove residues at the micrometer level. Simultaneously with slag removal effect: The product has dual functions of degassing and slag removal, and does not stick to aluminum when removing slag after refining, with good slag aluminum separation.
Good adaptability: The product is suitable for refining various types of aluminum and aluminum alloy melts, and is compatible with all alloy grades.
Particle design: The particle size is specifically designed for the blowing process, without clogging the blowing tube, making it suitable for both melting furnace refining and insulation furnace refining.
3、 Scope of application
This product is suitable for refining various types of aluminum and aluminum alloy melts, including but not limited to:
Purification of Casting Aluminum Alloy Melt
Pure aluminum smelting degassing and slag removal
Casting of automotive components (wheels, engine cylinders, etc.)
3C electronic aluminum processing
Recycling and purification of recycled aluminum
4、 Usage method
Method 1: Bell cover pressing method (applicable to crucible furnaces)
Control the temperature of the aluminum liquid between 700 ℃ and 760 ℃.
Weigh the refining agent at 0.2% to 0.5% of the weight of the aluminum liquid and place it in the bell jar.
Press the bell jar into the melt depth of about 2/3 and slowly move horizontally at the bottom of the furnace to evenly distribute the flux inside the melt.
Observe the reaction of the flux until the reaction is complete, at which point bubbles and slag layers can be seen emerging. The refining time is generally 10-15 minutes.
After the reaction is complete, lift the bell jar and let it stand for 5-10 minutes to fully float the slag. After removing the surface floating slag, it can be cast. Lightly tapping the flux block before placing it in the bell jar is beneficial for improving the reaction speed of the flux.
Method 2: Inert gas injection method (applicable to large melting furnaces)
Control the temperature of the aluminum liquid between 700 ℃ and 760 ℃.
Load the refining agent into the powder spraying tank (spraying device).
Using high-purity argon or nitrogen as a carrier, the refining agent is uniformly sprayed into the interior of the aluminum melt.
After the spraying is completed, according to the cleanliness requirements of the aluminum liquid, it can be left to stand for 5-10 minutes before scraping off the slag.
According to the dry and wet conditions of the slag, the amount of flux can be adjusted appropriately. If the slag is too dry, it indicates that the amount of flux used is too high and should be appropriately reduced.
Operation points:
When spraying, special attention should be paid to the operation sequence: at the beginning, ventilation should be carried out before powder supply, and at the end, powder should be cut off first and then gas should be stopped to prevent the flux from blocking the powder spraying tube.
When there are strict requirements for the gas content of the melt, nitrogen or argon can be further introduced for secondary refining.
Method 3: Manual scattering method (suitable for small furnaces)
Before refining, it is advisable to use a slag remover to remove the floating slag on the surface of the aluminum liquid.
Control the temperature of the aluminum liquid above 700 ℃.
Evenly sprinkle the refining agent on the surface of the aluminum liquid, use a flat tool with mesh to press it deep into the interior of the aluminum liquid (non discolored floating powder should be pressed in again), and stir it so that the powder is evenly dispersed and distributed inside the molten pool.
After the reaction is complete, let it stand for 5-10 minutes and remove the surface scum.
5、 Precautions
Storage requirements: This product should be stored in a ventilated and dry warehouse to prevent moisture. After opening the bag, it should be used as soon as possible.
Moisture proof treatment: If the product is found to be damp or clumped, do not use it directly. The product should be dried at a temperature below 150 ℃ and then crushed into powder or granules before use.
Temperature control: The operating temperature should not be lower than 700 ℃, as temperatures that are too high or too low can affect the refining effect.
Dosage adjustment: The recommended dosage above is a general reference value. The actual dosage should be determined through sampling analysis based on factors such as furnace type and size, aluminum water impurity content, alloy grade, and temperature.
Safe operation: During operation, protective equipment (heat-resistant gloves, goggles, face shields, etc.) should be worn to prevent burns caused by splashing of high-temperature melt.
