VietNamAluminum based intermediate alloy
ZJ1-1 zinc alloy refining agent
1、 Product Features
ZJ1-1 zinc alloy refining agent is a powder composed of various efficient inorganic salts, specifically designed for refining zinc and zinc alloy melts. The product can effectively remove oxide inclusions and dissolved gases (mainly hydrogen) from the melt, and has excellent slag aluminum separation effect. Low smoke volume during use, no harmful gases are produced, and there is no adverse effect on the composition of zinc alloy.
2、 Applicable scenarios
Suitable for the smelting and refining of die cast zinc alloys (such as Zamak 2, 3, 5, etc.), gravity cast zinc alloys, zinc based alloys, and recycled zinc alloys. Especially suitable for the production of zinc alloys with high requirements for casting density and surface quality.
3、 Dosage
The recommended addition amount is 0.1% to 0.3% (mass fraction) of the zinc solution. The typical recommended value is 0.2%. The specific dosage can be adjusted appropriately according to the initial cleanliness of the melt, waste ratio, and product requirements.
4、 Usage method
After the zinc alloy is completely melted, the surface floating slag should be removed first, and the temperature of the zinc liquid should be controlled between 430 ℃ and 480 ℃ (the conventional temperature for zinc alloy melting). Mix ZJ1-1 refining agent evenly with a small amount of dry zinc shavings or fine zinc particles, and press it into the bottom of the zinc solution with a special bell jar or graphite pressure spoon. Slowly move the bell jar to evenly disperse the refining agent in the melt. The refining reaction time is about 3-5 minutes until the release of bubbles is significantly reduced. Remove the bell jar and let it stand for 5-10 minutes to allow the impurities to fully float up. Thoroughly remove the surface floating slag before casting or subsequent treatment can be carried out. If the proportion of waste added is high or the casting quality requirements are strict, it can be refined again.
5、 Precautions
The temperature of zinc solution should not exceed 500 ℃, as excessive temperature can lead to intensified zinc oxidation and rapid decomposition of refining agents. High temperature resistant gloves and protective face shields should be worn during operation to avoid splashing of zinc liquid. The refining process should be carried out in a well ventilated area to avoid the accumulation of smoke.
6、 Packaging specifications
2 kg/bag, 20 kg/box (customizable according to customer requirements)
7、 Storage conditions
Store in a well ventilated and dry place to prevent moisture. Moisture may cause clumping, affecting the dispersion effect.
8、 Shelf life
12 months in an unopened state. If the product is slightly damp, it can be dried and sieved at 120 ℃ before continuing to be used; It is recommended to discard it if it is severely damp.
