VietNamAluminum based intermediate alloy
Covering Agent AF
Aluminum is highly prone to absorbing gas and being oxidized during melting in an air environment, thus it must be protected. The covering flux is a mixture of protective and chemically active components. This flux melts at approximately 580℃ and forms a liquid protective layer to prevent metal oxidation and hydrogen absorption. At the same time, this flux has a strong purifying effect, which can gather non-metallic inclusions and make them easier to remove from the aluminum melt.
Dosage: It is related to the size of the furnace chamber mirror. The recommended dosage is 0.3Kg/m². The dosage can also be determined based on the actual situation on site.
Usage: It is typically used in two situations: one is after the aluminum liquid has melted completely, where covering agent can be sprinkled to significantly reduce the burning loss of the aluminum liquid. The other is after the slagging process during refining, where covering agent can be sprinkled to prevent the aluminum liquid from re-absorbing gas. It can also be used in both situations.
Packaging: Each bag contains 2 kilograms, and each box contains 20 kilograms..
Storage: Keep in a ventilated and dry place, and be cautious to prevent moisture. If it becomes damp, it can be used again after drying until the moisture content drops below 1%
Shelf life: Six months
